Legendary Armor skins & recipes
Some speculation:
1) I know skins are a subjective topic (if people like them or not) but i really hope anet can do better than ascended armors and spvp glorious armors.
Think the armors will have an animation in combat so go figure.
2) Armors recipe. I think anet will keep the same ratio of ascended armors so an expensive piece (chest, probably similar to a weapon) and other lesser expensive pieces.
The legendary armors will most likely be raid exclusives. Also I think they will be collected from raids so you don’t need much materials or gold to make them. This is only my speculation though.
I was wondering if map completation always will be a requirement or only for weapons.
In general I’m really curious about legendary armor and backpiece recipes and how much will be different from legendary weapons recipe.
Probably they differ alot from what we have now. The precursors for any new weapons will be collectable only and nontradeable so from these facts I would see them alot different from the legendary weapon recipes we have now. It’s also unlikely that the backpieces or armor needs the map completion.
“As part of rewards for raids, we’re introducing legendary armor. Conquering raid content will earn you the pieces to build legendary precursor armors, which can be forged into legendary heavy, medium, and light armor sets.”

Raids will only get you a piece to make the armor. Its entirely possible that actually crafting a piece of the armor will require participation in other areas of the game or require more gold/materials. However, no one knows all that will be required to make the armor. We just know of one piece of the puzzle. More information will be released in the future.
