Still waiting for that Legendary Bearbow Longbow that fires bears. It seems like something that would actually happen, so, maybe I shouldn’t joke about it. :s

I wished Chuka and Champawat was a longbow legendary I was gutted when I heard it was a shortbow skin. Mainly because I NEVER use shortbow – I find the range/distance of the skills really lame, and the skills not good enough. If it was a longbow skin, it would have gone so well with my ranger

The Longbow of the sunless is the only longbow skin in the game that fits with my guard at all. Been farming that thing for so long now…

Any longbow would be better that the my little pony bow. Hopefully there will be a better option in the future.

The Longbow of the sunless is the only longbow skin in the game that fits with my guard at all. Been farming that thing for so long now…

I went with this for Guard.

I stuck with the original Guardian motif, so it seemed fitting to have the Spirit bow be the thing that shoots arrows that are literally the physical manifestation their virtuous light. And if that wasn’t convincing enough….. I collected every single wood log (all 3000 of them) myself. (not as any act of conviction…. but because Ancient wood was crazy expensive at the time).

I feel like those spirit weapons need some love. THey look very low poly compared to some of the new weapons coming out, and the particle effect around them is a touch… bland, to say the least.

3000 ancient wood logs is a pretty impressive feat of gathering, though

LB is gunna be one of the last ones along with GS (cause those are cool). There are still many other crappy ones to do before them and they probably won’t all come out b4 the next xpansion seeing as how 1 is dropped every 2-3 months.

and please anet don’t make any other horrible “birthday cake” legendaries like that torch

Are you joking? Shortbow is the main bow used in the most efficient Ranger builds. The CC etc. is invaluable. I do have a second Ranger with a Berserker build, though, who also uses longbow — however, my Rangers use their bows only as secondary weapons as they do primary damage with their(semi-)melee ones.

But yes, a nice longbow (unlike the kitschy Kudzu) would be something to behold. However, looking at the more recent legendaries, I am afraid it would make Kudzu look like the cream of the crop in comparison.

I think it depends on who your talking to on weather the shortbow is useful or not. I personally don’t like it. I don’t see it as useless I just don’t like it. The range and condis turn me off from it. A lot of other friends of mine flat out hate it and say its extremely useless. Their reasoning is you have to be flanking them or behind them to immobilize or daze them.
