- i like gw 2 and this is my epic story of 1 evening
- i joined dragon`s stand for meta event
- i even found anti dc team cuz there is dc every 2 minutes you know
- i made it to the dragon and brought him to 25% hp and then something epic
happened
- i disconnected
- i was back in the game in 20 seconds but couldnt join my anti dc team on their map
meaning some random joined map instead of me after i spent 2 hours there, he
finished dragon took all rewards and achievements and loled hard while i was
breaking my new pc cuz i couldnt get back in there…
- i wanna thank you anet for not making me able to get back in the map where i spent
2 hours of my life and made all the hard work.

the 64 bit client solves this completely, you are to stuborn to install it

I have a 32 bit system and I feel with you. I haven’t been to that map yet, but I tried the dragons in VB several times and I still don’t know what loot they give due to disconnects

It may or may not solve the problem, and the game really shouldn’t screw you out of credit or prevent you from reentering a map you got dropped from when trouble strikes in the first place, but if your computer supports it, the 64-bit client does seem to solve some problems.

The problem with the 64 bit beta client, is that not that many people know about it cos they havent properly told us about it. There’s just a post in the accounts forum.

If you want the 64 bit client, you have to either accidentally visit that thread or be told by others who accidentally found that thread!

Well OPs post said new pc since 64 bit system been a thing since 2008 I would assume that s/he do.

I don’t think 64 bit client will do any help against disconnections. Against client crashes it might help yes.

So i downloaded it and it seems it not only helped vs crashes, but also improved whole performance. I recommend this to everyone who is having crash/dc problems.

I hardly doubt that the random who joined in your place got ANY achievement or rewards.
Why you ask?

Well, you disconnected when he had 25% hp, that’s not enough time for a guy who just joined to maybe even tag Mordremoth especially if the bomb phase started. Even if he did manage, his map participation was like 0% so he didn’t get any good rewards for sure. And most achievements are during the events that lead to the collectors themselves.

I do know your pain, it happened to me too twice. After I got 64bit I went to DS again and in two runs I got all the achies so no big deal. Didn’t even take 2 hours cause the maps are good now and you can finish the whole meta in one hour.

Sadly, not completely. :-(

But it helps a lot. Now I’m down from 1 crash every 30-60 minutes to 1 crash every 1-2 days.
