Even with the addition of a ton of new skins most staff ones simply don’t look the part. It also means ‘regular’ staff users wouldn’t be starved of skins designed specifically for a more appropriate look (such as the one Rytlock uses in the trailer). This would work similar to racial armour in that once a spear skin has been applied any non-melee staff profession wouldn’t be able to equip it until the skin has been changed.

I know it’s a minor thing but there are a lot of cool UW skins that we don’t get to enjoy much and would make a good compromise for the lack of pole-arms.

I’m not sure what good a pear skin would be in combat, its not even that thick or solid. :P

But anyway, no. I don’t want this to happen, because it basically removes any chance of ever having proper spears on land (assuming there’s a chance for it to happen in the first place). Plus, I’m just against copy-pasting skins to other weapons in general as it feels lazy and takes away the uniqueness of the skins.

Not sure, but I think that’s an in-game screenshot that he superimposed a pear on (I think that’s in Diessa Plateau).

I don’t think you want to put pear skins on your staff. They would eventually rot and get gross and sticky. If you must have a fruit skin, perhaps a pomegranate.

Rot is Rizen’s middle name. So it works for Melee Staff skin for Revenant theme,,,

How about a coconut instead? Probably a little bit better for weaponizing anyway.

Coconuts would be a solid option, I don’t think we’re limited to fruit. Maybe the nutritional value of pear skins was a consideration though?

let’s think about this realistically…

if your staff was the shape of a pear (and still the same height), how could you hold it in one hand? you’d have to grip it with a pear hug… and then also probably turn it upside down to be able to carry it. and then, how would you see where you’re going? and forget about a dodge roll, your pear would roll you over and roll away, leaving you weaponless.
