I recently started working on this collection as I have finished the Auric Weapon colection. I am not pleased to again find that what you need to get from completing events is a randome drop rate. It was expensive and timeconsuming enough to work on all of the auric weapons and now this collection is making me do the event’s over an over to hopefully have a chance to get dropped what i need. I really hoped for a change for the better concerning all the RNG drops but sadly it’s still very much the case. I wish it were acuratly balanced and not be a thing of luck with besically everything you need.

You get an ascended back and a title, the RNG element is fine tbh, you cannot expect to have everything 100% drop chance in an MMO, just do the related events and you will get it completed sooner or later.

The problem with that approach is that you won’t be very happy if you happen to be in that 20% of outliers who repeat an event dozens of times and the item you need never drops. Just like those poor kittens who did Vinewrath 50+ times trying to get a Carapace Chest Box and never got it. Meanwhile your guildie who doesn’t even want the kitten thing gets it 3 times in a row and just salvages it for Ectos.

Word of advice to developers: If something is only acquired through RNG, then you MUST make it tradable to keep things fair for all players.

Theses news collections in HoT, most of the contents that is RNG related, has drop rate of 90% to 100%, u get items almost on first attempt. It would be very strange that this collection was different. If the drop rate is low, it may be bug, and so better inform developers to fix it.

When i was collecting Dark Harvest, the item from Nightmare Courties strangely have low drop rate too(like 30%) when the others has 100% of chance, i dont know if they fixed it.

And you better have multiple character that either chose Order of Whisper, The Vigil, or Durmand Priory. Otherwise, you’re screwed.

Dont open the meta event chests until you have 100%+ map participation. Helps a lot imo.
