Hi fellow collectors,

Since I finished the Auric Weapon I was certain to get Luminate’s Backplate. But now I’m stuck. After trying for 10 hours or more without getting these items it was time to make a post about it.

These are the items I need:
Extra-Shiny Auric Sliver
Illuminated Tendril

I did the event line to kill the Golden Ooze champion in the west and the Monocot and Diocot in the east. (Failed the one with Tricot tho because there is just not enough people to wait this long for the next event). I finished them multiple times and even tried out other event lanes.

What am I doing wrong? Or is it just luck/random? I had 200% participation on most of the events. Help would be appreciated a lot.

UPDATE: I finally got the Tendril from a Monocot, which I have slain multiple time before. I guess it’s just a matter of luck.
Went to sleep and after the first event I did, the Sliver dropped. This time it was from an event before the Golden Ooze.

Random drop. I had to kill Auran ooze 21 times before I got the Extra-Shiny Auric Sliver

That is just an absurd amount of times, since you wasting 2 hours of your time just to get nothing. But you did nothing special to get it? Just do the Westward events to kill the Gold Ooze?

I believe I got the Auric sliver from mining. It’s been awhile but I’m 99% sure. The tendril is the one that took me awhile. I thought it only came from Monocot or the two cots that follow after him. I was doing that middle path over and over with no success. Just so happened I did the legendary boss on the south east path and I got the tendril in the boss drop along with the bouncy chest.

I was kind of like you, thought am I doing something wrong? I just couldn’t get it to drop. It is random.

That’s the Auric Sliver (crafting material) and if you have specialization collections, the Auric Sharpening Stone which you get from gathering.

The one discussed is Extra-Shiny Auric Sliver which is an RNG drop from killing Auran the Golden Ooze which spawns on westwatch after the pylons are activated.

The north vine took me like 3 tries and the husk took like 2-3 (south). I just had really bad RNG with the ooze or maybe it just has a bad drop rate. I basically finished everything except the ooze one for like 1 week+

Yeah you’re right, I double checked it was the Auric Lodestone that is part of the collection I got from mining.

I must have been lucky on the auric sliver got that one first try. The tendril took me almost a week. Was so frustrated with trying to get the tendril.

Something I think is possible but cannot prove since I finished it and cant repeat to test. Every item from the pre event chains that drop, I read where people was getting their item and that was where I farmed to get mine. However on north and south pre events I got mine from different bosses. Makes me wonder if any boss at the end of a chain has a chance to drop the item from those areas that splits off.

Hey there, I completed the golden ooze event once and did not get the drop. Later tried the Veteran Overseer Gearl event just prior to the golden ooze event and got it! (Defeat the vine crawler to recover the mirror pieces).
