So ive just spent the past 8 hours trying to find a successful map for the Tangled Depths meta, and I actually managed to kill the Gerent, but it didn’t drop my Mistward Helm Casing.

What a joke. The other parts dropped on the first try, so why should this one be any different? Ridiculous. I feel like ArenaNet designed this meta event with the intention of getting the largest amount of hate mail in the shortest time. I don’t care if its hard, but having it on a 2 hour timer is ridiculous. 1 hour, if not less is more than sufficient, especially since this helm casing doesn’t drop 100% of the time, like the other components.

Did you win the meta or just killed your lane’s gerent? You have to win the meta to get it. Actually, I think there may have been a chest and that’s where it came from.

It is a 100% drop for defeating the entire META event, not just killing one of the gerents. When I killed the one in scar lane, but the event failed I got nothing. When my guild actually beat the meta I got my helm casing in the large event chest by the ley line wp.

Also did you just beat the meta or did you wait for the map to change? In Verdant brink, the boxes come at dawn after a successful meta, not on completion of the meta.

It’s not in the bouncy chest boxes you get on the lower right of your screen. It’s in the giant in-game reward chest that appears once the event is defeated.

The chest spawns once the Meta to kill them is completed, doesn’t take long to pass or fail. The chest is by the Ley-Line Confluence WP.

I think you just killed the gerent but didnt finish the Meta event. The event probably failed, the Mistward helm is in the giant chest you get fo rbeating the whole event.

That or they didn’t realize there was a chest.

Oh, I see. The tooltip on the collection should be less misleading then.

It says “kill the Chak Gerant in Tangled Depths”. NOT “Complete the Tangled Depths Meta Event.”

killed Chak Gerent (100% participation on a lane), completed the meta event (got the achievements), received the big (on screen) loot boxes, and nope.. still no drop.

But did you open the big chest that looks like a monument, because the event chest is where you get it.
