Hi, 1 of the items used to make the staff is a Charged Oiled Ancient Staff head made from an Oiled Ancient Staff Head charged at a place of power in Magus Falls. I try to charge the staff head at a place of power in Auric Basin and it just tells me Ive communed all I can at the mastery point. Any help would be appreciated. Tks

Are you sure it’s the oiled one that you used? I only ask because I did that this past week for all of the items and had no issues.

You must charge your Oiled Ancient Staff Head in a place which is not an encounter. Try the place which is inside the big Tree in the first map.

Does it have to be done there? Wiki says Charge an Oiled Ancient Staff Head at any Place of Power in Magus Falls. Also, place of power is a Hero point place, not a Mastery Point site.

Which tree?

On the first map “Verdant Brink”, there is a mastery point site Inside the ancient tree, with poison around. This place works for the the oiled ancient staff head. Juste on the North-East of “Noble Ledge”, near “Coztie grounds”

That’s a hero point which is why it worked.

Even easier, if you have Nuhoch Wallows, is to take the wallows that is in the large flat brown area ne of the Pact camp wp in VB. It deposits you right next to a place of power with no aggro or acrobatics involved. I used that for my oiled ancient staff head and will use it for my greatsword next.
