How you feel like about new reward system coming with HoT the new way of getting T6 mats and other items will it make dead areas more lively? And what’s your take on it affecting the economy. I’d like to hear your opinion.

PS I love this change cuz right now gift of fortune is almost price of precursor 8 X 250 it’s ridiculous. Huge props to whoever thought of this idea.

Going back into open world and experiencing 80% of the game again because it no longer feels like a waste of time? No thanks, I’ll stick to my boring routine. I can’t handle change and think it’s a bad thing that you’re excited about it.

I think you’re dreaming if you believe that HoT is going to make crafting of legendary weapons quick and cheap. They’re still going to consume enormous amounts of time and gold. A one-time reward of a couple of fangs or something for completing a map is nice, but I doubt it will amount to more than a drop in the bucket.

I don’t see it changing the current prices all that much, as demand will still be higher than supply by a good bit, as the MATS are needed for several items ingame,

Brett, I think you have a misconception. The rewards are based on participating in things on the map. Not completion.

it would be nice to make it more rewarding to come back to lower level areas again though.
I prefer events happening on a lesser strict schedule too, since now it is that the people are just camping at the spawn point of the respective world boss without doing much pres or anything else on the map.
That must be boring in the long run.

It depends on how easy to get (and fast) the new rewards are. On the individual level it might not make a big change, but the overall Supply will likely increase a lot, so prices might drop

Yes I am aware of droprate i also know that not everything handed to us in silver platter. Now what I’m saying is 100% reward depending on quantity instead of rng which makes it more rewarding to do those old maps. it’s still grind but at least u getting somewhere

Personally I’m excited to see them implement the map bonuses. Generally speaking, I enjoy doing events, and I like farming; however, I dislike the seeming lack of specific farming in GW2 (ie, you can’t go out and kill or do ‘x’ to get ‘y’). This may fix some of that. which may make my farming feel a bit more enjoyable / worthwhile.

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.

I am actually looking forward to being able to farm Giant Eyes.
And Charged Lodestones.

lol same here. I used to enjoy Kessex…. yet, I find I don’t really anymore. Maybe it’s just because I’ve spent way, way too much time there.

Yeah…with a guaranteed way to farm Charged, I should probably sell the 40 or so I presently have…..before they (potentially) drop in value.

I’m excited about it. Even if it takes like 100 repeats of an event to get it, its far better than waiting for the RNG loot table to award you with T6 drops instead of a T5. At least you know that you do x actions to get y reward, instead of doing x actions praying for the game to reward you what you want.

About the potential drop in prices. I see it as a good thing… Makes the game more inclusive for new players starting out. If to me making an ascended set of gear is kitten harsh, imagine a guy that reached 80 yesterday on his first character, and has like 10 gold to his name.

I didn’t say it was a bad thing I’m pretty much on the same page really. Just figure I’ll make some gold while I still can, and won’t have to stress about replacing them down the road.

Yes, making ascended gear is amazingly expensive. It’s definitely on par for effort and cost with FoW or Vabbian from GW2….and just as ugly imo. I hated 99% of those skins too haha.

I’m working on my third 100% map exploration.

Considering that I love legendaries, I probably will do another couple of full tournee.

do I like the changes? yes
Do i like the job that attends me because of the changes? neither a little bit.

Something else to consider, We are going to be running through toons faster than ever now, as people will tend to migrate to the fastest way to farm events in these maps. Infact it may not help some of the other maps at all, as likely it will be we all congregate at the fastest events to complete, or chain of events…

Considering rewards we get for completing World Bosses I wouldn’t expect major game-changing rewards.

For me it’s silk followed by linen :/

I am actually looking forward to being able to farm Giant Eyes.

If in 2 years of playing I hadn’t gotten 2 of them I would have thought giant eyes were simply a myth.

I’m so glad ANet is moving away from heavy RNG mechanics.
