I m quite neutral since im unbelivable rich and dont feel 50 dollar is much.

The reason People are upset is much deeper. Somehow Anet made it so that many people believe that the expansion is small. So it seemed be around 20 Dollar.

Than anet stoped new content people asociated gw2 with boredom grind. SW is nothing more than a farm spot. And I personal feel every new area is nothing than a upgraded loot area. Gemstore became the Focus of the game (outfits) and i can imagine that many people start buying stuff since they felt so bored and needed some happy.

And now out of the Air Anet tells the price. Bam

A good marketing make people feel so high that they are happy to pay. Anet since u dont pay me i cant tell u how to improve but let people imagine something amazing is about to come not just a continuation of what they had … No… a new fresh much better game all u saw before was nothing in compare to HOT. HOT is the real deal. But no u made it look like just another zone be added and gliding.

No Battle drums no Cool Hero, a Voice and faceless Villain … ask urself if u where a movie would u go and watch urself in the cinema or at dvd at home?

I hate to be that guy but learn from Blizzard how to Marketing.

or hire me I love to help :P

(IMHO not speaking for everyone ofc)

ps one compliment anet that strategie is cool for getting new players. 50 bucks for core game and expansion for free is sweet.

curious to see how it will be handeld in China I guess xpact will be for free there.

At this point, people are paying $50 for a prayer and a dream. Especially older players. There’s far more value in getting the more expensive versions—which is, essentially, the entire point. It’s a marketing thing to push sales in that direction and has absolutely no bearing on the game itself.
