Just wondering lvl 80 Chronomemser.. still working on getting all my mastery points.. have 103 right now.. But doing this time, I am earning hero points like crazy mad. All the while I am grinding out mastery points in areas of the game, I never really like playing..
Just wondering will there be a way to convert my huge overflow of hero points into
mastery points?? Just wondering, grinding in parts of the game i totally dislike, is kinda a
pain.. I should be able to use surplus of hero points for something.. Just Wondering..

Hero points are exclusively for skill/trait unlocks. Originally, the plan was that you would use up most of the hero points available in the world by unlocking all of your skills. ArenaNet caved however by giving you 100% of the points you needed just by leveling up, then halved the amount required for the elite specializations. There was talk of the possibility of an excess hero point vendor, but keep in mind that hero points are limited resource, so that would have only caused problems. For now, excess hero points are simply a bonus, allowing you to unlock future elite specializations faster.

They’ll be useful with the next elite specialization. You’ll either be able to get the full elite spec right away or get a good chunk of it.
