Has anyone found a good matching dye to use with the new Auric weapons or is regular ‘Gold Dye’ the best option?
Please share dyes that match the Auric metal if you found one.
Thank you !!
Antique bronze + spring breeze, best match i found. Going to combine it with midnight fire on my Reve, just need to craft axe.
Thanks kiki! I’ll take a look at those
I’m using ‘fern’ at the moment for the gold-bronze looking parts, on chronomancer shoulders, with spring breeze as the light green/glowy dye – though I’m sure there’s a better green dye for the glow
Thanks Zaoda. Together with kiki’s suggestions I went to experiment with Antique Bronze, Spring Breeze and Fern.
Fern seems to match the metal parts better as it is just a tad lighter and Antique Bronze feels a bit too dark (but it might depend on the armor used).
Antique Bronze was perfect for the ‘filligree’ on my armor though. And then I used Spring Breeze for the cloth shirt.
Only issue I had was with my Dwayna’s Bracers (from GW1) as they take colors differently (especially the wings). But with Spring Leaf seemed to get it close to the energy color from the weapon.
Here’s a screenshot of my experiment!
Abyss dye is all you need. Everything goes good with black.
Yeah the only annoying thing about dyes is that they can look one way on one piece of armor, but completely different on another, depending on material of armor, lighting etc. I’m still trying to find a perfect match for the green glowy bits so I’ll also try Spring Leaf as you mentioned.
Yea i just figured, i use it on monks outfit, which makes all dyes saturated and bright, so antique bronze is exact match there. Fern is good on classic armors thou. And about green glow, lightning conditions change this too much, you can match it only in some circumstances.
Back to farming AB to craft rest of weapons xD they look amazing.
Did some more tuning and this is my ‘final form’ :P

For the energy effect i found stem dye to be the closes, tho it may depend on armor

I am going to necro this a bit since it’s popular on google searches. Swamp Grass & Dijon is a great die for metal to match the weapons, in most light.
A valid necro imo!
Speaking of necros, my human necro uses these dyes on Sentinel and White Mantle outfits and they blend well with the auric greatsword: Olive Oil, Lemonade, Midnight Green, Blue Tint (going upper left, upper right, lower left, lower right in the dye boxes for outfits).

I am using Sentinel Outfit, which imho suits excellent with the auric weapons.
1 | 2
3 | 4
1 = beige
2 = orange shade
3 = Autumn
4 = mint breeze
I experimented nearly two hours to find that combination. It is still not perfect, but I like it that way.

Enameled legacy fits really well on metal parts.

try white gold or antique gold.
