Guild Wars 2

This question might have been answered before, but I cannot find it, so I apologize in advance if it has.

I am wondering if we are allowed to have nine slots for our account. I already have eight, which I believe to be the maximum, so if I use another character slot expansion (either from the gem store or from pre-ordering the deluxe or ultimate package), will it let me have nine or will it say I’ve reached the maximum character slots for my account?

If you could answer with a quote/link to someone from Anet saying “yes” or “no,” that would be preferred. I know there’s speculation that it will increase, but I want to hear/read it from the people that make the game.

I think 64 slots are the maximum. I have 10 so you are fine to get another.

I have 9 character slots, plus the limited time beta slot. I think I’ve read about people with 20+ characters also.

Just did a search, and you could only have 8 during the beta. Once GW2 got out of beta, I didn’t bother to try to get more slots (under the assumption that 8 was still the max).

sitting on 20 at the mo, and still have the option to buy more, so I think you’ll be fine

Don’t be, a little humor was what these forums needed right now. A lot of crazyness on both sides of the fence right now. Crazy veterans arguing the wrong points and crazy fanboys pretending anet is saintly and isn’t at least partially in the wrong here.

Sitting at 8, looking forward to a 9th.

I have 12 char slots currently since I keep extras around for key farming.
