ArenaNet likes to pull from past ideas with the Revenant looking to pull from the Ritualist.

From what I see, the Mesmer specialization with shield pulls from the old GuildWars 1 cancelled expansion ‘Utopia’ pulling in some of the Chronomancer skills.

The whole expansion begs to have the themes from Utopia brought in.

I’m expecting lots of these things in Heart of Thorns as well as Chronomancer-type stylings on the Mesmer specialization.
