Minion Change to "Rise!" skill
This is why forum posts shouldn’t be considered for balance decisions. Might as well ask for five Flesh Golems.
That’d be pretty ridic. I do think the scaling per enemy hit is a bit whacky though, and they have talked about changing it, so:
The shout summons 1 insert-minion-here (perhaps fleshreaver) if an enemy is hit, plus an additional jagged horror per enemy hit.
So hitting 5 targets would summon one insert-minion-here and 4 horrors.
Larynx constructive not destructive plz, they said it themselves it seemed a bit weak with the 5 lesser minions that slowly degenerate. I like Arewn’s idea though.
Summon 1 fleshreaver upon first enemy hit and 1 jagged horror per every other enemy hit. This results in 1 powerful spawn and 4 lessers. OR If at least X enemies are hit, summon a fleshreaver in their place. IE 3-5 enemies being hit would result in a fleshreaver with 2-0 jagged horrors (depending on how powerful this concept is).
They could make a new type of ghost or wraith type minion that applies torment on auto attacks to add some conditions other than chill, vuln and poison to the reaper. Torment specifically compliments their playstyle, punish your enemies for running from you! Reapers don’t really seem like the type to raise fleshy, rotten zombies anyway. Besides, if there’s a skill that can summon 5 of one type of minion and another that summons 1 or 2 which would you take?

Fleshreavers by lore are undead-looking demons (as were stygian demons from Nightfall) and not necromancer constructs despite the similar appearance (this is why the sigil is “demon summoning” and not “minion summoning” or the like).
I do agree such would be an awesome appearance though, but if it could spawn up to 5 fleshreavers that would be a bit overpowered for a non-elite skill.
I do like Arewn’s idea, but since the skill is about summoning necromancer minions it should be a minion from one of the pre-existing skills.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
I say 5 shades, not too powerful but perfect fodder. Plus the shadowy theme for the shade goes well with the theme of the reaper.
How about 1 bone minion per target that explodes on Death?
How about we change the jagged horrors to look more like the bone horrors from gw1 but function the same way as they currently do. Inflicts bleed and health degeneration.
How about some reskinned skelk that look like the nightmares from GW1?
Also, it would be funny if under certain circumstances, undead chickens would spawn as an easter egg.

Just make those little ones hit twice as fast and when they die explode ala death nova but instead of poison, make it a frost blast to keep with the theme.
I wouldn’t mind it summoning some undead quaggan or rotting asura either.
How about a shadow behemoth or some other underworld monster like an AATXE. Or a progression based summon so if you only hit one monster you get the little guy, hit 2 and you get a bone minion/horror, 3 and you get the ranged one, 4 and you get a shade, 5 you get an aatxe.
Since the reaper is a melee aoe monster how about instead of summoning anything it calls forth something like (http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Reaper_of_the_Ice_Wastes) for each foe struck that rises out of the ground, freezes the enemy for a second, hits for some value of damage and then goes away.
Personally I really liked the Dying Nightmares of gw1 too and they’re blood necros so maybe their hits could heal you.

5 small nightmares (be it nightstalkers, baby abyssals or crypt fiends)?
I wouldn’t mind it summoning some undead quaggan or rotting asura either.
When I read this my mind instantly thought of 5 CP boss Quaggans that get bigger and bigger as u hit them but instead of shrinking after they reach max size a 5 sec timer starts after which they explode for death nova lol.
how about a different minion summon based on number of enemies hit?
reward the more risky gameplay.
1 enemy hit 2 jagged
2 enemies hit, 2 bone minions
3 hit, —-—
4 hit —-—-
