So I’m working on crafting the precursor for twilight and one of the requirements for the first part of it is to kill Modniir Ulgoth and loot Modniir’s Ruin from his chest afterwards. I just killed him and didn’t get the item. A lot of other players around me who were working on precursor crafting had the same problem. Not sure if this is a bug or not.

Hi , the drop chance of Modniir’s Ruin is 0.00012% from the chest, it might drop on the 500th kill. maybe. enjoy.

We’re discovering that precursor crafting still involves a LOT of RNG.

I don’t think its RNG based, because all the other items in the collection for making the precursor was 100% drop rate. Also, I killed ulgoth again just now and just like the first time, Modniir’s ruin didn’t drop, but instead i got an item called “Overlord’s Defeat”. Maybe Anet just got the item in the collection wrong?

This also happened to me and someone else I was doing this with. Killed Ulgoth and looted the chest, but got “Overlord’s Defeat” (the one for killing the Overlord in Kessex Hills) instead.

This was before the October 24 patch that just went through. It wasn’t listed as fixed in the notes, but I haven’t tested it yet since the patch.

I also had the same issue when completing the Ulgoth fight- I got the Kessex Overlord item, too.

Its a bug that have nothing to do with droprate. Had the item show up in the list over received loot earlier today, yet the collection made no notice of it whatsoever so I /bugged it and hope for a quick fix. Even if it means having to redo the event. Anything, so I can at least progress

Can confirm this… Had the exact same problem today…

Same problem… Saw the trophy looted but it didn’t count for my legendary twilight quest line.

The bugs thread and forum have been made WELL aware of this issue and it has gotten ZERO dev response.

a year of waiting and we get broken content that they seem to not care enough to fix as its been out for almost 2 weeks and still no fix for it… thanks anet always good to see you care… XD

Ya ok just did it too and still bugged. Not asking for fame and glory here dudes just a god kitten pixel, first my guild has no broker and it never get’s fixed and now this too. Really what’s so difficult is fixing this thing to drop from him ???

I got it 1st try. Not sure if I want to use my mats making it tho.
