Tried it today, took 3 tries and we experienced horrifying bugs.

Wiped in the first run, did ok in the 2nd one but the rift failed to spawn in the end so we had to reset it, then in the 3rd try, just after the 1st fly phase, we accidentally broke its CC bar and we directly jumped into the last phase, but the rift bugged once again when it had 5% hp left. Then I told my team “let’s break its CC bar to see what happens” and it worked! I mean this fight is horrible when you can see a bug fix another bug.

Seriously, I think the Mordremoth fight require some serious work other than the bug fix as well because
1. It was way too long and you had to fight 2 others before that.
2. There were too many “do it to damage the boss”, why do you even need to “finish” it in the end? It was totally unnecessary and when HoT was released, this had troubled a lot of teams because if the leader dies, even if you take out the boss you can’t finish it.
3 The fly part+penalty area, you have to “do that to evade certain death” for 3 times and can’t rez the downed, so with bugs it could be horrible. I think it’s ok for the challenge mode but was way too much for personal story, especially with so many bugs.

Also is it possible to let team members be able to reenter the instance after dc?

Anet should close that chapter until they work out the bugs, instead of letting people waste hours trying to finish it. Personally I am 1 for 5 completion thats 80% bug out… completely unacceptable.

can confirm. Today i finally give up on PVP and started doing the actual HOT story., the pale tree part is totoally bugged. welp, another form of kitten XD

I suggest to reduce the length of the fight as well as fix so many bugs, remove the penalty box mech in normal mode.

I can’t complete this fight either. Myself and some guild friends tried 5 times together and then I tried as a solo run.

For me, I can get all the way through to the last phase of the Mordremoth fight. I get one wave of shadows minions to kill and then I have to click the rift on the floor to make Mordremoth non-immune to damage. When this repeats for the second time, I click the rift again and nothing happens to Mordremoth, he simply stays immune to all damage. At this point there’s nothing you can do to continue. Even if you kill yourself and restart the exact same issue happens every single time at exactly the same point.

So, I am unable to complete the story. What a disappointment and anti-climax.

Well, yes, it would stand to reason that it’s still bugged since none of the patches mentioned anything about fixing it.

I haven’t even tried the Migraine achievement because I don’t want it to bug out after spending an hour killing the first two sub-bosses.

I did this mission earlier today with a friend and surprisingly there was no bugs. First time i tried it on this character had all sorts of problems, that was maybe a month ago, but today it went smoothly. I have a feeling if u die at all, that’s when the problems start. Today we didn’t die and had no issues, but i’m not really sure. It seems pot luck if u have a good run or a buggy one.

If you wipe during the gliding phase for example, the encounter will reset to the next phase with the ground smashed, which is why rifts will spawn outside of the area. In this case, you have to die again to reset it.

Dunno finished it in it’s bug riddled form first week, I know it sucks and they really should fix it but it’s very completable. Mostly people have issues with the bugs for Extreme. So I think its a combination of you not being very good/dying to cause the bugs then and bugs :P Maybe I am just sad as you complained so much about TD then still have a hard time doing it :P Have no faith in the player skill when reading your other posts to make it think it is solely bugs preventing this sorry mate.

Twizzy – go full cc, the rift doesn’t need to break the bar – do it yourself and kill him

AFAIK they haven’t even acknowledged the bugs. I said weeks ago it should be a top priority but no they don’t seem to care about the centerpiece to the xpac.

Finally did the HOT story today and it is still definitely a buggy mess to put it politely. Took me three times all failed attempts were due to air currents that didn’t launch. Super fun to do my skill rotation against the biggest HP sponge in the game for 60 minutes because a gimmick mechanic in the middle is totally bugged. Was going to do achievements since it’s the ONLY way to get a viper amulet but i’m not touching that steaming pile again until it actually works reliably. Also after the bugs get fixed if ever how about check points in the different stages of the fight, or how about reduce the length of the kill as it’s incredibly boring.

Heh. I did this fight yesterday and the bug actually made it easier. I had Braham as one of my companions. In the Eir fight, when I killed Garm and she came over to resurrect him, she got jammed on some crack in the floor and just stood there helplessly while I attacked her. Other than that, no bugs.
