Q:
Like many others i play the beta right now and i’m wondering how i can aquire more mastery points as i want to go deeper into the gliding line.
Do you got more than two? And if so, how?
A:
Adventures provide mastery points if you get gold, usually 2. So complete them.
There’s a mastery point you can reach with your glider as well.
My second alt going through the starter beta story got a mastery point as a reward for that. I didn’t notice if my third did, I think I was groggy and distracted at the time.

There is that Mastery point that’s near the first waypoint on that steep hill. Is that thing only reachable by gliding? I wasn’t able to get to the very top of it by jumping.

You can get that one when you jump and press f at the right moment.

That’s what I figured. Since my jumping ability runs the gamut between laughable and pathetic I might have to wait till I have gliding to access it.
You can’t reach it with gliding, either. I don’t think we’re actually meant to be able to reach that mastery point yet until the remaining biomes are released, so you have somewhere higher up to jump from.
The jumping spam f method is just a workaround by messing with game mechanics.

Yep, i try to get lean techniques soon so i can report if that helps to do it legit.

Ok now i can confirm that lean techniques makes it possible to reach said mastery point the normal way.

Excellent. Ty for finding out and reporting back.

Are there any Adventures one can do? I decided to do the vine burning one and it was disabled, as have been all the others I’ve found.
Adventures are active during the day, but certain events have to be completed before you can do them.
The one near the Hylek village only activates after the Wyvern’s dead, which doesn’t happen often at the moment.
The vine burning one activates after the initial bombing event to the vines.
The pit in the ruins activates after Laranthir reaches them, i.e. after the explosive event.
Ah thanks, that makes a ton of sense. If Laranthir ever gets over his fear of parting ways with his charr buddy at the first platform, I’ll tag along with him.
Without doing adventures, the max you can get at the moment is 5.

You can actually reach that one. You need the 3rd mastery in gliding. The one to the SE can also be reached but it requires the glider and JP skills.
Yeah, Stormwind said. I said that before I unlocked the lean techniques, too. Nice to see masteries at work.
