Does anyone know if something will be done about Elites and duplicates?

I understand that we have to earn our elites, but as someone who has 17+ toons it’s such a tedious task to unlock 3+ reapers, 3+ DH and so forth….

Any chance once we unlock an Elite, it could unlock across your account? I REALLY want to continue buying character slots to make characters with different builds for different aspects of the game for easy swapping but as it stands currently it feels like punishment for even considering that option. I also love going with the mood on what class/race combination I feel like playing. Just can’t do that anymore.

Hopefully someone from Anet can respond, as this indirectly effects character slot sales.

If no changes will be made, it would be nice to know just so I can strip every duplicate class of their gear, sell it off and be done with them.

I pvp mostly, everytime I got birthday exp scroll and 60 tomes I would fast track myself to 80.

Now I have hundreds of tomes, about 5 exp scrolls left and no incentive to buy character slots.

I assume you PvE?

Everyone has different aspects of the game they enjoy, sadly I think every game on my PS4 has better PvE elements while GW2 combat system triumphs over the rest. SO naturally what I enjoy about GW2 is PvP and WVW. You’re not psychic so you wouldn’t of known this.

WvW each rank up is 2-7 Hero points, getting those required ranks is hard when you’re at the bottom of the WvW tiers, regardless if you were diamond ranked pre-hot, you have to re-earn the necessary ranks required to unlock the spec.

Maybe I should stop being a casual and try to dedicate more than 4 hours a day to the game lol

You do not need masteries other than gliding, updraft, and bouncing mushroom. With simply those three masteries, you can speedrun all the hero points you need.

I really despise PvE in this game…

If it’s not too much of a burden, would you mind posting a video of a quick run through? You make it sound easy lol

I am really keen to make my Asura Thief, Sylvari Rev and Charr Engineer and would love to be able to quickly level the elite specs up ready for their intended build purposes so I can get back into the action so to speak.

I looked for videos for about an hour before I gave up and knuckled down on my thief elite…

9 hours to get it to 80% complete on the new maps. It wasn’t hard navigating the maps, the hardest part was waiting for half hour minimum at group event HP for atleast one person to come and help. I have a tag which made things easier.

So at that rate, it should only take about 170 hours to unlock 17 elites… Yay.

Question still stands: Could Elites be account bound?

I just want to WvW and have fun to it’s full potential instead of… This.

nope. not going to happen. it is not designed that way.

9 hours is a bit long. Get somebody who knows what they’re doing and at least 3 people in your group to fight the champs that needs to be killed and assuming you have no HP at all in central tyria. You’ll be done in under 2 hours for each character

Until you get bouncing mushrooms, updrafts and exalted ideally your run is guided by a mesmer who has those masteries and can port you places. But doing 1 HP run will get you a lot of exploration exp. After I think 3 HP runs I had all the required masteries and then some.

Yup, your calculations are right… did a speed run with my guildmates… 2 hours to get the elite.. that is without using the waypoints.
