DH bow feels very clunky compared to bow on warrior, where they have access to a 1/4 cast time skill, aswell as the targeted AoE on ground can be shoot behind you. With dragonhunter if you try to do such thing the skill will go on CD without any effect. Skill two should still be a root in place but have a dmg+ with maybe a full 1 sec cast time. The damage on the auto atk hits slightly under what warrior auto attack hits, expect theres hits twice. The sometimes auto atk cripple makes the cripple trait unreliable.

The changes to virtues are the worst offense, you can no longer spam F1 on trash for blinds and the nerf to big game hunter makes the other lines more of a dps gain. F2 has short range cant be used as a QUICK condi cleanse, and probably should be a blast finisher on land. Being able to quickly save the team with aegis with F3 is no longer a thing because of cast time and the effect of F3 isnt good for how long the Cd is, being that gurds aready have 6 other ways to block projectiles.

Removing insta cast of virtues means DH will see very little use in PvP situations, as you cant F3 stomp players and cant use virtues mid RH anymore. I tried MANY differnt builds of dragonhunter and ive yet to find one that isnt a complete DPS lose to current builds people run, the bows damage is to low = to there cast times and feel clunky/unfun to used compared the free to move and easy to use of scepter. The traps AoE are too small and the only time i can see good use of them is corner stacking line of sighting mobs in dungeons which isnt healthy game play to behind with, the cripple on traps need to be a little bit longer with there a AoE size made larger.

Let me know what you guys think of my ideas on this, i was hyped about DH from the first trailer but trying it out i dont think i will use DH on launch of HoT if it stays in its current state, which is sad being a gurd main. Thank you for your time, sorry for any spelling/grammar errors.

I feel like I started to get into the groove of it pretty quickly, even against the new mobs, but the DPS definitely didn’t compare with my regular build. But that’s the trade-off of ranged weapons.

I think the virtues still need a bit of work, as others are saying. They felt rather clunky, but it could just be that I need more time to adjust to the role.
