So i was doing Dry Top early today (partly cause of the Portal chance, partly cause i have a bunch of lockpicks and want to get more geodes to unlock all the goodies).
I tagged Three Toed Tootsie, and with a bunch of others we killed it, and when i looked at the bonus chest, the portal was there.
I was really happy about it, but when i opened my inventory i noticed that the loot from tootise had filled it up, and that the portal was nowhere to be seen (didn’t get the encumbered window either).

I’m positive i’ve got the slot on the Beta cause i got the in-game mail confirmation and the assurance on the Blog Post.
But i wanted to keep the portal as a Memento of sorts… And i can’t.
I’m loathe to open a support ticket for this so minor issue, so i’m leaving this here hoping someone more in the know than me can say if there’s any chance of getting the Portal back.

I know you don’t want to open a support ticket, but seriously, that’s like the only thing that’s going to give you a definitive answer.

You can try waypointing to another map and then back and see if it appears, but it’s probably gone.

You may have gotten credit since it would have likely been ‘your item’. It’s a matter of if it registers when the item is generated as loot for you or if it has to enter your inventory bags. Impossible to say without a dev giving the answer though, as it comes to to largely arbitrary implementation details.

Palindrome, the OP is not worried about credit, s/he wants the item itself sitting in inventory as a memento.

I don’t know if Support would provide one, since it has vendor value, but you can ask them and they might be able to check the log to verify the item was not delivered.

My reading comprehension is abysmal today. I second/third the support ticket suggestion, but again, it will depend on when the loot event is logged. Good luck.

Yeah I might just send a ticket… It seems kinda petty to do it though, since its really just a whim…
I’m pretty sure i got access, since i got a e-mail saying so. Just the item never really landed on my inventory.
I’m pretty sure those are the situations they warned about on the blog post when they said “Don’t worry if your portal gets misplaced in a sandstorm or devoured by a passing ravager; beta access will be flagged upon looting the item, and it’s not required to claim participation.”
But just to be safe i’m probably going to send a support ticket and make sure i’m and check to see if i can get the item as a memento.

I hope.you get it back. This is one of the reasons I want one. Just so I can say I have one.
