What Legends do you want to equip on your Revenant?

Ooh! Shiro would be kinda cool. And so would Master Tengu!

I’d assume that eventually they’d include Legends from each campaign, with an eye towards balancing heroes with villains. So here’s a barebones list with some basic ideas…

From Prophecies:
Prince Rurik – heavy single target melee, taunt
Vizier Khilbron – medium ranged AoE, CC, fear

From Factions:
Master Togo – PBAoE, retaliation
Shiro – heavy melee AoE, resistance

From Nightfall:
Kormir – support, condition cleanse
Mallyx – heavy ranged AoE CC (fear, taunt and slow included), heavy ranged AoE condition spam

From Eye of the North:
Jalis Ironhammer – melee PBAoE, ranged single target CC (think hammer throws)
Glint (seems odd to channel the Great Destroyer) – heavy reflects, blocks

Does Ventari count as a hero?

Are there any Luxon heroes? I want turtle power.

I’d like to channel the powers of drunken brawling and yelling my own name really loud.

In no particular order:

• Rotscale (I really loved fighting him)
• Shiro Tagachi (which we may be getting)
• Dhuum (yeah, yeah, too OP, still wanna use that teleport skill he has)
• Master Togo ( must you ask why? – numbers may seem low for you GW2-only’s, but that was about 75% of the health bar most of the time, insta kill on normal NPC foes too, so think of it like doing 18k PBAoE damage I guess)
• Kuunavang (bring back our celestial skills!)
• Kaineng Tah (he had to be a kitten to unite the warring groups of Canthans)
• King Doric (he had to be a kitten to unite the human kingdoms of Tyria)
• The Khan-Ur (he had to be a kitten to unite the civil warring charr race)
• Desmina (she’s basically the proto necromancer and I often picture her as being a supremely powered one)
• Reiko Murakami (perhaps the most kitten mesmer in GW1)
• Lord Odran (with a focus on temporal rifts that devastate the enemy, would be pretty cool – yeah, I know that’s what revenant weapons do, but still)

LOL i never knew that skill was a thing. god kitten it togo, should’ve kept you around more often.

anyway, i’ll echo that i want shiro and maybe kunavaang. can’t say i want the heroes or henchies to be options, as much as i liked some of them. Guess I’d rather Jora, Pyre & co.’s legacy to stay as homages throughout the game, not turn them into nigh-demigods.

My absolute first choice would be Glint. My goal is to actually make my character as a Zephyrite-style devotee of Glint.

Besides her, I’d like to channel Master Togo, Gwen (although then you’d either just turn into a mesmer or a little girl who follows people around, so maybe not…), and Saint Viktor. I miss the Kurzicks.

As for who I think they’ll actually include, my money’s on Glint and Shiro, in addition to the two that have already been revealed.

I want Verata and Kuunavang.

Isgarren would be pretty mindblowing too.

Dont think that there will be many human legends. My guess it they want to make the profession more race neutral and with many human legends that wouldnt be the case anymore.

The black armor is the same skin they’re using on Rytlock and all the revenants in the blog post/interviews. The purple/redish aura around the character is possibly using the Malyx avatar skill if GW1 is anything to go by. That’s how the avatar skills worked in GW1, at least somewhat.

I think a problem with a lot of legends mentioned is that probably over 90% of them are humans. Now, I can imagine us getting one or two human legends but any more than that would make it a bit… weird, for non-human revenants that is.

Does anyone know if that form of Mallyx the Unyielding on that Charr is temporary, like an elite skill? Or something more permanent like an engineer’s sort of toolbelt/kit skill? Because I would love to look like that Charr all day long, rather than just 30 seconds like an elite skill (which I fear may be the case, but I hope I’m wrong).

it was explained that it’s an upkeep skill – so long as you have the energy to maintain it you can keep it on.

Shiro. The multi-foe hit that Rytlok does in the trailer reminds me strongly of Riposting Shadows during the Imperial Sanctum fight. Bouncing from person to person because it just keeps renewing.

well, GW1 was a very human-centric game. you can’t blame people for picking their favorite characters from a game where 90% of the population, regadless of campaign, was human in some form.

in loot and exp

2- Commander fix stuff cause i aint feeling it: Makes the rev immortal and removes
all his skills till the next occ. Any damage the group does is also credited to the rev

3- The hero we need: Kills the rev instantly but revives him right before the enemie is
so close to dying that a single auto attack will kill it. When this point is reached the
enemie will become immortal and can be only killed by an attack of the rev.

Reason- Considering the trailers we have seen with Rytlock summoning Glints spirit, even if it may just be an elite skill, the lore around becoming an ascended before meeting Glint, her visions that aided in the defeat of the White Mantle/The Lich/The Titans/Etc, her efforts to aid Destiny’s Edge to defeat of Kralkatorrik, the Zepharite’s acquired their air/sun/lighting crystals from her corpse?, and her legacy hidden somewhere in the Magumma Jungle. I can sort of see this happening.

Reason- Due to the “Weh No Su”; to be closer to the stars quest.
While not likely to be an official legend, he does seem to be one of the most supernatural characters we’ve seen running around Cantha in human form, he’s a ritualist, and in my opinion he’s very similar to glint. ALSO HIS EYES FLIPPING GLOW PEOPLE!!!!!

Well, I think they’ll likely stay away from Human, Charr, Asura, Norn, or Sylvari legends to keep it race neutral. Here are the ones I like the most (many mentioned already).

Glint - for legendary dragon stance and she has a lot of history
Kanaxi - was epic boss in factions with a unique and great look. Would love his return
Optimus Caliph - for legendary Mursaat stance as he was widely theorized to be the leader of the Mursaat seen in GW1
Shiro Tagachi - I know he was human, but he was so epic that I hope they allow for a human legend!

My list, based both on what I’ve heard on the Forums, what I know about GW1, and keeping in mind a sort of “balance” race wise, is as follows:

Shiro Tagachi [The Jade Coffee Table] – Lets be honest everyone really seems to want him, he was a significant character in GW1, and his skills were pretty kitten.

Glint – She’s dead and yet she’s still effecting the land of Tyria years later. She is yet another pretty significant and awesome character.

Ventari -

Ok I don’t have precise explanations for the last two but they were significant to the history of Tyria and the races and it kinda balances things a bit I guess?

Owl- This Norn Spirit was confirmed to be dead. Perfect flavor for a chill-based fighting style.
Talon Silverwing- Wishful thinking at this point, but as you can see, all I can think about is becoming poultry.
