I dont usually come on the forums that often but this has annoyed me enough to make me log on and post.

So Nevermore – legendary – ok i expect some grind and tier 2 certainly had that! but ok i worked through it and preogressed to a very enjoyable tier 3 and eventually onto tier 4….. which is where im having an issue!

heres the gripe – one of the collection items is locked behind a ceertain event happening namely stopping the svanir killing the owls at owl lodge in Snowden drifts. Doesnt sound hard right??!!
Well it wouldnt be if it wasnt that in order to get that event the event before it has to fail – which would be great if he didnt die the second someone as much as looks at him.

2 days now ive been camped out in this map, at times with others, desparatly pleading with people to let the event fail so we can get the collection item, oh and theres the map chat suppression issue to deal with as well…. great!

I thought these issues where people were getting blocked from getting progress on legendary collection due to the action of others had been looked at and rectified. Obviously not!

Please Anet look into these issues because sitting in the same map for 2 days hitting my head against a metaphorical brick wall is not fun or what i bought the game for.
i will also add its not the first issue with a legendary collection ive had – Frenzy has one item you can only get if you havent already done a certain heart quest. luckily i had a char that hadnt but seeing as these are supposed to be aimed at players who have played the game a while and have completed stuff it was a little short sighted

Are you sure it still needs to fail? I thought they had changed that.

Anyhow, be assured that Anet have suspended all work on new legendary weapons so you will be saved the pain of another one….

yes the shamen needs to get to the lodge and build his totem to progress to the event needed for the collection item sadly.

and yes i thought they had looked into all these issues as well.

I recently finished nevermore myself. Are you referring to “friend of the owl spirit” You don’t actually need to do that quest chain to get credit for it. You can just repeat “friend of the owls” and complete credit.

They really need to update the collection description then it clearly states the event is the svanir one not both.

Well it originally was meant to be the quest you were describing. I’m assuming their “workaround fix” to the problem you mentioned was to just make it so you could get credit by repeating “friend of the owls”

at least theres another way – i was unaware of that because nothing in the collection states that and some of us dont like to wiki our way through everything – we like to try and figure it out on our own.
