New Electric Wyvern location
The electric wyvern is available once the map takes Central Advanced Camp. This is actually easier than having to finish the meta-event in it’s entirity.
First you complain it’s harder to get now (which it isn’t) and you spent 4 hrs looking for a map, but then you complain that it depreciates the effort required?
So what exactly is your complaint? You argued both ends of the spectrum here.
Something like taming a pet doesn’t depreciate replayability since you can’t retame a pet anyway, it is still a one time thing.

The deprecation come from finishing the DS map, but finding the target has moved.
The scuttlebut, was to make it easier.
EDIT: since the issue was clarified, I’d like to point out that the Wyvern location change was not mentioned in the patch notes as far back as June. So, imagine my surprise that map chat tells me that it has a new location . . .
I will deal with it. This is just a Point of Order. (against previous statements)

That’s because the change was documented in the April 19th patch, sorry you missed that but it was there nice and clear. So yeah it’s been in it’s ‘new’ location for 5 months.
Thanks.
I had neglected going back until my masteries were higher.
It’s actually worth going back and reading the April patch notes, because that update is the single biggest patch to HoT. A boatload of stuff was changed, so if you have to read one set of patch notes, April Update is the one to read…for HoT anyway.
To be honest, I found myself that the new location isn’t really easier.
I’ve never had a map that’s cleared the central camp that hasn’t gone on to kill the Mouth. I’m sure it does happen – I have had a couple where taking down the gates has gotten a little hairy – but generally it’s pretty binary: either it’s an organised map and they succeed, or it’s an empty map and nothing happens.
On the flipside, in the old location, once Mordremoth was down, it was pretty easy to get to. Advanced Gliding helps, but you can get to it with updrafts alone, which you really should have by the time you get there (there’s a particular point from which you can glide and reach the ledge, as long as you don’t use Lean Techniques). The new location requires a bit of hunting to find and even if you know exactly where to go, you’re having to make a significant detour away from the lane to get to it.
All things considered, I think it would probably have been better to leave them where they were, possibly with two options of where to get them from.
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.
How do you need 4 hours to find a map? Just use LFG right before the meta starts… Using this page:

Takes 1min to get into map, usually 1-1.5h to clear it.
‘would of been’ —> wrong

Been in a bunch where one or more lanes just couldn’t get it together to get pass the blighting towers. One or two might have been a late start as well.
The new location is also the location for one of the lane events.
The juveniles don’t spawn until after the event you speak of, though. You have to go (back) up afterwards, when the lane is pushing from the central camp towards the gate.
Having both spawn locations would probably be the best compromise.

If you have done the event then you should know where it is.

This is a good point. There was no real good reason to remove them from the first location.
