New Maps and Dungeons
On a side note and before everyone says “BUT THEY DIDN’T ANNOUNCE THOSE THINGS QQ” I can imagine that the announcement was about the NEW features and not the expansion of current features.
I think it’s really difficult to gauge how many new maps (or zones, however you prefer to call them) we’ll get since it’s the first expansion for GW2. We don’t really have a reference.
All I can say is that I was initally disappointed by the size of Dry Top and Silverwastes… only to find out they’re full of nooks and crannys and there’s actually a lot to explore even though they look small on the world map. Even if HoT ships with a few maps it can turn out much more than it seems.

Yes I agree, I mean verticality does change everything. If 1 new map is about as big as 3 old maps due to the fact that you don’t only travel horizontaly (back and forward) but also verticaly (up and down) this could mean that even 3 maps could make a big difference
If we can get back to The Falls, Magesty’s Rest, and the Maguuma Bloodstone (and all the surrounding regions), I’ll be happy enough. Anything more will just be bonus after that.
And if the new map is the size of the ls map ? It means that even with 3 levels the new map is 3/4 size of a normal map.

Do you honestly think that Anet would be so stupid as to name something an expansion that only adds 1 single tiny map to the game and charge money for that ? There is no way they would do something like that
