where is that assumption coming from?

While I haven’t seen the new launcher yet, it wouldn’t surprise me – what with Glint’s egg and everything.

Let’s defeat Mordy first though (and then probably wait 2 more years)

The old launcher had caithe (a sylvari, for those who live under a rock, or in Hoelbrak.) They are connected to Mordremoth. Now it’s changed to Rytlock, a charr. Kralkatorrik is the one who made the Brand, which is in Charr lands.

I believe they chose Caithe because she was a Sylvari which was the brand new race to Tyria for Guild Wars 2 and something they were obviously very proud of. I don’t think it’s related to the expansion that they never knew or intended to make at launch. I can see how Kralk would be next logically, but I don’t think that it’s related to the launcher. Rytlock has a lot going on in the story right now so it’s only natural that he’s the face and probably a member of Destiny’s Edge will be on the next one and so on.

Please no. I like the green, it’s so much better than the ugly red. Whenever I launch GW2 I don’t want to be reminded of my local super target.
