So when HoT will be released along with the fresh set of legendary weapons. Do you think they will still need a precursor, Gift of the legendary, Mastery and Fortune like the existing ones? Or will have something completely new required? The precursors have already been confirmed and and I like the way they wrote about how to actually make them.
But since I’m excited about the new legendaries, I’ve been saving money for them. Not making any Gifts in the Mystic Forge because I’m not sure if I’ll need them. But money is a safe bet to what’s needed.

What do you guys think?

I don’t have any source, but I read somewhere in one of their article that the recipe will remain the same, the 2 basic gifts, one specific of the weapon, and the precursor.
The only thing they change is the way you can get precursors.

It will be similar but not identical to the old way. It will be more like the new precursor crafting.

I know you’re all dying for more information on new legendary weapons, but we’d like to delve into them more with a dedicated blog post in the future. For now, I’ll say that we’ve been working kitten new legendary weapons, the first handful of which will be introduced in Heart of Thorns, with more to come in subsequent updates. The methods by which you’ll craft these legendary weapons are similar to the existing system, but we’ve refined it into more of a journey, similar to precursor crafting. We also want to better preserve the prestige associated with crafting a legendary weapon, so the new legendary weapons, and their precursors, will not be tradable. Keep an eye out—we can’t wait to start showing them off when they’re ready!
