Will we be able to enter the new map in the expansion without doing the living story?

You have been able to enter both Dry Top and Silverwastes without doing LS so I would assume so.

You will most likely not be able to enter it without buying the expansion though.

I’m pretty sure, if you buy the expansion you can go to the new maps. Maybe you will have to through the Silverwastes or Dry Top first, but that doesn’t mean you have to play the Living Story first.

They haven’t said one way or the other, but since you won’t have access to the Mastery System without the expansion, it’s very likely you will need the expansion to access the new maps. You couldn’t go to Cantha or Elona or EoTN without purchasing those expansions/campaigns so I would assume it’s the same with HoT.
