With the new region Heart of the Maguuma there will also be zones in that region. A region usually have a few zones in them and even racial cities. If you look at Kryta there’s Queensdale, Kessex Hills, Harathi Hinterlands, Gandarran Fields + two cities, Lion’s Arch and Divnity’s Reach. Then there’s Bloodtide Coast and Sparkfly fen.

I think ArenaNet underwhelmed us or weren’t totally precise. I assume there will be at least three new zones and a racial city. The new racial city will most likely be the city of the Mursaat. What ever the name of their city is.

Well, there are, at least they said this at Pax, 3 biomes AND the roots (underground), the surface, and then the Canopy for Maguuma. We don’t know whether this will go for all the new maps we’re getting or not.

Another possibility is a giant map which covers all of Maguuma which is HIGHLY unlikely.

I would have liked a bunch of zones (all across the world) as well, but I guess if I can get my money’s worth out of Maguuma that’s fine. Besides the Maguuma Wastes are pretty big, so you could fit several zones in there.

There really vertical the maps, but I’m thinking that each of the biomes is gonna act as a giant zone maybe one for the murssat/white mantle one for the skrit and the last for a new group possible?

Not unless the engine was given a massive update to accommodate something like that, it be interesting to see in practice.

However not entirely sure what to expect on how many zones we’re getting so lets wait and see. I hope its a broad range at least from north to south.
