New runes or sigils ideas?
For the maguuma theme there could be a sigil with %-Chance of creating a root with immobilize for runes.
I want something for support, that would be cool. Chance of summon a healing spring or spirits for ranger
A sigil with %chance of interrupting would be really cool. I loved interrupting in gw1.
I was thinking about it just yesterday. Yes, I would be thrilled add sigils that work on interrupting targets. There are sigils for stun, or rune of the mesmer which gives an extra daze duration. However, all these sigils and runes only work for one specific kind of cc: no love for the knock back, launches, knockdown, etc.
I would especially like to see a rune set revolving around interrupts, but power-based. It would be awesome for lockdown mesmers, s/p thieves and physical skills warriors!
I like the idea of new sigils and rune ideas but why not make many of the useless ones viable first? A little tweaking and you could turn a lot of the older useless ones into new cool ones. Just an idea.
I am hoping they add a set relating to Taunting. Also hoping they rework old skills like Guardian Mace to include. Then a true “tank” will exist.
Side note my longterm investment of getting Mistforge Hero Mace would pay off lol
I think reworking/buffing some of the current ones first would be a good start.

suburbs idea is interesting, but rangers HS spring is rly strong for a rune

i think for every new buff/debuff we will see at least one rune set.
and i bet a mordrem rune for torment and poison.

I’d like to see a sigil that mixes the “Chance on hit/crit” and stacking stats ideas. Say, a chance to drop a rock out of the sky on a target on hit. Starts at 0%, but goes up with each enemy you kill. Once it activates, the chance goes back to 0.
delicate, brick-like subtlety.
Id love to see a burn on crit & another on weapon swap sigil
Would also love to see a torment on weapon swap sigil.
Would also be cool if we had some that granted an aura on weapon swap or critical hit.
Lastly would be insanely great if there were more runes that had a + run speed.

Call in a sniper npc ally that we say in HoT preview rune set. For sigil maybe more day/night effects i guess that would work for runes sets too.

one sigil that could cause a small aoe effect at foe, so that u can cleave a bit if u cant cleave. The new sigil with AoE poison is a good step forward to it. On crit chance, maybe a ranger trap, a necro well or a guard symbol.
Could also a possibility to offer options for supporter from behind, when they trigger a small aoe boon when they hit a foe.
auras only on rune effects
Shocking and frost aura and chaos armor would be possible, becuase the other auras can be obtained via runes.
I dont want to see summone runes or sigils, they are annoying
more runes that trigger on signet activations would be nice
Resistance rune would be cool, but 30s cd for one aegis is just too long

I have some Ideas for the last Set-Boni:
(6)+50% Boon-duration, for each boon applied to you, apply a condition to you (same conditions you would get when the boons are converted into conditions)
(6) When you use your elite-skill, a fiery greatsword drops from the sky (120 s cooldown)
(6) loose all boons and conditions when using a heal-skill (10 s cooldown)
(6) Instead of your Elite-Skill, get a Portal (same as the mesmer)
(6) when you drop below 20% health, you are invulnerable for 15 seconds, after these 10 seconds, you die and instantly respawn. (90 s cooldown)
(6) use “I Will Avenge You” if downed allies are nearby

How should this effect interact with summons, companions and such? It could end up being too sick if it triggers on minions and stuff, but maybe too weak if it doesn’t. Probably make it trigger on minions as well, but give it an internal CD of 5 sec?
Instead of new sigils and rune effects, I think reworking and improving existing runes and sigils are more important. As it stands, there are only a very small set of runes and sigils that are most commonly used and many sets go unused or rarely used except for testing or experimentation.

I agree. We have too many sigils/runes that have little value or only a niche use.
