And it’s interesting… clearly a torch wielded by what must be a warrior (since that’s the only heavy armor class left) but what’s the theme supposed to be? We’ve got some kind of animal skull helm complete with horns and a torch covered in animal busts- wolf, bear, lion, and I believe that handle terminates in to a cobra head.

With all those animals the first things that comes to mind would be some kind of warrior that switches between bestial fighting styles, but that seems more like a ranger thing and warriors already have a full set of stance skills.

On the twitter comments one poster said “A bouquet of bears for me?! Honey, you shouldn’t have!” and I lol’d.

I’m kittening excited, viable condition offhand here we come! It has to be right? I mean sword is a good condi mainhand but we really don’t have a good offhand.

Warrior with Torch. I joked with some people in my Guild that the Warrior will get a Torch and uses it to immolate himself to get some crazy Buffs.

If he is now doing THAT I will laugh.

Another elite spec I’m going to.be underwhelmed by. This is either going to be a support spec, or condition. The elite specs have been a complete bust for me. I’m still waiting to see something that’s going to make me want to buy HoT.

Telling you all it will be based on transformation. The leaked picture of the Berserker was the same picture from the Norn intro showing off transformation racials. With the animals on the torch, its clear this elite spec deals with Animal Forms similar to Norn racials, but more powerful.

Warriors need stealth! There needs to be one skill on the torch where you stealth yourself for 3 seconds and in those 3 seconds you can attack while stealthed and not take any damage, at all! (Hopefully a short cooldown also, maybe 3 seconds).

Same. I figured either dagger or torch originally. After seeing the datamined art work, it solidified the torch theory for me.

To be honest, unless torch brings some seriously powerful gap closers which i would be able to combine with an axe, i am realy not interested. We already have conditions with warrior. They are not bad, they are simply not interesting to warrior players. When you roll a warrior you want a phisical tough and hard hitting class, conditions do not qualify.

go disappointment … I was expecting another weapon, never in my head I passed the torch, a warrior can never carry a torch, not natural, every day I’m more sorry for purchase expansion.

I argued so hard to get people to stop qq’ing over the warhorn back when the teaser image was released.

Lmao and what weap were you expecting? Pistol? Warr already has rifle. Dagger? Daggers don’t belong on a heavy armor class. Focus fists? Just lol.

Maybe its a short staff torch just dont fit warrior class at all O.O

Actually… yes.

Rytlock has run around with a sword and an offhand pistol for years now. It’s been his thing that normal warriors can’t do. With him changing to Rev, it seemed like a good time to let that move on to other warriors.

Blah. One of the two classes I don’t have, so this one is going to be pretty underwhelming for me. But I suppose that was bound to happen eventually.

Torch was expected for one of the nine anyway. As it stands, I think only two professions can equip torches.

Right when I was warming up to the idea of off-hand dagger….
Oh well, an off hand condition weapon is okay. If we get a fire field out of it, it’ll be good for condi build variety at least.

Also, thematically why torch for a berserker? I’d expect if for more of a “Raider” or “Marauder” elite spec.

• 3 hound heads + Snake head on the hilt = Cerberus from Greek mythology.

Now what name could the elite spec be with this in mind?

I doubt it would be “The Hound” due to the Game of Thrones character.

“Hellhound” perhaps? Or some other X-hound name (Demonhound)? The Mutt?

However, it is said that the name “Cerberus” is a Latinised version of the Greek “Kerberos”. Perhaps it is related to that form of the name. If the spec turns out to be quite good, perhaps kicking someone’s butt with it would become known as getting “Kerb-stomped”

If I take the name etymology further, I am placing my guess for the elite spec as being called:

“The Growler”
(or possibly “The Jackal”)

Beastmaster/Chimera incomming! I can see this having strong potential, but its probably going to be condi based with a torch as its new weapon.

Whatever its role, I bet it will have some kind of amazing name like Dragonburner.

I’m not into skulls and giant horns anyway. But I’m glad some find it kick-a.

Dual wielding two handed weapons would be a great way to put warriors apart from the other classes, Because as of now the only difference is that it really dose not use magic and has kittenty condition builds.

The purpose of a torch is to light one’s way through darkness, so I’d like to see them named something like delver or explorer, and have a dungeoneering vibe.
