Nitpicking elites (revenants v other classes)

So something got me thinking. Suppose revenants are going to get 4 legendaries with a 5th legendary being the elite specialisation. We’ll talk about the base revenant sans elite.
And say every legendary gets a full set of skills (1 healing, 1 elite and 4 utility)
That means that the baseline revenants would get one more elite as a baseline than other classes. Would the other classes get an extra elite to compensate? or is that going to be allowed because of the slightly more limited options of utility customisation beyond picking legendaries?
(yes i know i’m being picky, but it’s a question i’d like to pose anyway)

Funny, most people are worried about Revenants getting too few skills and you are worried they get too many?

Think of it this way. Sure, they get more total skills, but what they get in quantity, they lack in customization and flexibility. It’s a trade-off. Other than choosing what legends you are running, you have zero choice in what heal/utilities/elite you run.

If you’re talking about utilities, i think that we’re okay. the standard for every profession is four (mostly unique) sets of utilities and 1 set of signets. To me it seemed logical that for additional customisation, there’d be a set of signets not tied to any legendary to add more customisation for each legendary. If a single signet was equipped with both legendaries and was used, the cooldown would carry over into the new legendary swapped (same as i’m assuming would happen with racial skills and elites).
Of course we won’t know until we actually get more information, but it’s not something i’m really worried about.

It will not be an issue. You only get to choose your elite along with the matching heal and utilities. That means that your ability to potentially exploit a broken combination between elites and utilities is non-existent. If anything, the question should probably be the opposite in that there should be more elites to choose from than just your legend’s elite, but I get why they did it anyway.

This thread was futile, the majority opinion is that elite specs aren’t p2w

That’s a fair point actually, it’s not even something i considered.

The thread isn’t about elite specs, but about elite skills.

Afaik you’ll get 1 heal, 3 utility and 1 elite per legend. On top of this you can’t mix and match. They may get 1 more elite but got a lot less utility. All in all it’s looking underpowered right now.
