I already have a legendary weapon, but didn’t get the achievements. While I understand that those achievements are about the process getting the weapons the new way, but I think that those who got it the old way deserve a way to get those achievements. I’m not gonna make a second twilight just for that.

I agree, I have twilight and the precursor skins auto unlock so we should also auto unlock the achievement as making another twilight is out of the question

You don’t have to make another Twilight for the achievements, just another Dusk. Go through the effort of crafting Dusk to get the achievements, then sell it on the Trading Post to recoup your losses.

Precursor crafting is something that takes time and effort. You didn’t invest that time and effort by acquiring Dusk previously via either the Trading Post, the Mystic Forge, or an incredibly lucky random drop. The system is working as intended.

As a holder of multiple legendaries, I agree with this.

You didn’t go through the trials and tribulations of the precursor craft quest, so you don’t deserve the achievement.

Also, OP, the mistake you’re making is that you think the achievements are for acquiring the legendary weapon, while it’s actually only meant for crafting and acquiring the precursor, so 1/4 of the legendary weapon. You can have all these achievements completed yet not have a single legendary weapon on your account. Besides, there already are 2 achievements attached to acquiring legendary weapons.

Nope. The original legendary precursors can be sold. Its only the precursor for the 3 new legendaries (currently) that will be account bound.

No, they aren’t. If you craft Dusk via the collections, you can then sell it on the Trading Post.

The upcoming new set of Legendary weapons will not behave like that. The precursor for Nevermore will be account bound on completion, as will the final Legendary version of the weapon.

The original precursors aren’t account bound. The original precursors that you actually craft with the precursor crafting IS account bound. And the achievements are for going through the process and story of getting the precursor the craft-able way. You already got your achievement for making your legendary when you bound it.

And that’s what I meant. So Xiahou Mao’s suggestion of crafting them and then selling them on the TP is not an option. ANet also clearly stated this when they released the information on precursor crafting a few months ago.
