So the ascended amulet from HoT achievement; can’t be salvaged

It’s common that items can’t be salvaged if they are gained via storyline or leveling up. Apparently, ANet is worried that botters will create smurf characters to gain the loot and salvage. That seems reasonable for leveling and for the first few stories. It doesn’t seem reasonable for the living story or the HoT story, since it’s probably impossible to spam those, without actually playing.
In other words, I think those items might be restricted deliberately (not a bug) and at the same time, I hope that ANet modifies the mechanics so that non-salvageable items are restricted to level-up rewards, low-level personal story, and (maybe) karma items.
The first 3 are rewards for a collection, and are themselves part of another collection. One of the iterations of the order backpacks I believe. They’re unsalvageable to protect us from destroying things we might still want later.
I actually finished the 3 Order armor/weapon collections just so I could salvage the amulets.

Problem is they can know that you have actually finished the collection(thank to the achievement), so having to keep the item is a nonsense.
Plus, you can still destroy these amulet so why preventing people from salvaging them ?
Just make them buyable from the laurel vendor, like all the previous LS ascended rewards, and then make them salvageable.

Well, I’m not going to make excuses. They could’ve solved the availability problem by adding the amulets to merchant after they’ve been awarded once, so people can get more of them. Just like they did with some other items. If they had, I’d have happily salvaged those 3 amulets.

I don’t see what the problem is. Every single item ever gained in story missions is non-salvagable.

The first 3 are not story mission rewards.
The latter 3 are acquired in the same manner as several items that can be salvaged, and they’re actually items of exactly the same nature.
