Which would you choose and why? It does not look very likely that I can get both, so I have to make a choice. Help.

I would choose the mushrooms. They come in handy in all the maps because they are a renewable source of resetting all your abilities on cooldown. If a fight goes on long enough (eg Champ Arrowhead) you will find them very handy to fire off all your big skills and then swerve through a mushroom so you can immediately do so again if you want.

I just trained Alchemy two days ago after getting my final 2 mastery points to finish everything but raids. It’s been kinda nice against Chak because I only need one dodge roll to clear all the blue goop off but that’s all it does. I pushed to train it because I had to finish all the masteries to buy the components for Gift of Insight for HOPE.

If you’re not going for a legendary and are fine with needing to dodge once per blue goop level, you’ll find Adrenal far more versatile and useful. If you are going for a legendary … well … you’ll have to get them both anyway. So for choosing just one, Adrenal all the way.

I’m curious why you say you can’t get both? Do you have the other high mastery point requirement ones like Ley Line? Is it a problem with gathering the remaining 12 or whatever amount of mastery points needed for the one you don’t choose? It seems daunting, but it is possible to get them all.

Anyway, as far as choices between those two, neither seems to make a WORLD of difference in my experience. I have both, yet I still die to goop on occassion regardless of dodging, the adrenal mushrooms are nice when running solo through a mob, but wont really help tremedulsy if you stop to fight said mob alone. I think I went for chak goop first, but like Donari said, adrenal mushrooms are useful in all maps. Where as chak is really only useful in TD and 1 or 2 areas of DS. So, it really depends on where you spend a majority of your time now. If you map hop alot with different toons, go adrenal, if you’re in TD alot working on the meta, go chak.

Daisy: I do not think I can get the last 12 points. These last 11 points have been at the very limit already. One I only got because a generous person portaled me after I tried that Spelunker JP for 2 hours. I can get some of the points, but not all 12.

Adrenaline Mushrooms, I would say. It can be helpful in any future replays of the HoT story content (particularly the last fight), and can be a random boost anywhere in HoT, even raids. While the Alchemy is only useful against Chak and it’s just a difference of “losing 2 stacks of goop on dodge” versus “losing all stacks of goop on dodge”

I would say Adrenaline Mushrooms. I haven’t gotten to either yet, but those seem useful in a variety of situations, while Nuhoch Alchemy is much more limited. Chak acid is rough, but it’s not like Agony, where you have to counter it or you’re going to die for sure.

Adrenal Mushrooms – almost absolute life-saver for Migraine achievement (extreme mode kill of Mordremoth)

You’ll find far greater use for the mushrooms than you would alchemy.
