No. They will not make it being able to be purchased with gold.

It’s still a mess. I replied to that thread twice and since I believe I have a better business model I want it to get more exposure by having its own thread.

And I forgot about the conversion. That would drastically destroy the economy. They can still offer it digitally in the gem store but force it to cost real money instead of gems.

They can’t use gems to buy the expansion. There are plenty of people who could just convert gold to gems for enough gems to buy the expansion outright. 3000 gems is, what, 500G? That sounds like a lot, but they would lose a lot of money.

They’ve already stated that you cannot buy it for gems as they do not want players buying it with gold.

I updated the OP to reflect that.

A-Net needs to pay their employees (and investors) in USD, not in-game gold. Sorry, but real money is the only thing that’ll get you HoT.
