I vote with no hesitation old Tyria ….since I’m done with HoT ….I’m having a great time (as always) in old Tyria.

Mainland Tyria. HoT is nice, I love the map and gameplay there, it’s just…I have too many bad memories of the place. Meanwhile Tyria is quite nice and cheerful.

I enjoy old Tyria greatly, but started to enjoy HoT just as much. Except the masteries behind the adventures, otherwise I actually like the time I spend there.

old Tyria gets my vote. after a run through of the story and exploring the new zones, I’ve gone back to playing in old Tyria. right now the only time I spend any time in HoT maps is when I’m gathering flax. the new maps are ok, and I find them enjoyable, but I still prefer old Tyria, to the point where I have no desire to build the HoT masteries. this is because I know I won’t be spending any amount of time in the maps, so the effort would be wasted. on the other hand, I’ve maxed my Tyria masteries.

HoT, least before they flipping nerf everything into the dang ground and make it as boring as core tyria.

I like HoTs map design over Tyria ones. I dislike how the maps are designed around timers.

Old Tyria for now.

I want to like HoT more but can’t in it’s current state. Maybe this time next year after a few patches.

Old Tyria. I can’t stand puzzle/maze maps.

Old Tyria. I don’t see how they can even be compared.
Those HoT maps are beautiful, but they have the feel of a work in progress and like they are only meant for some players.
They should for awhile. When finished, I’ll likely still favour the core game.

HoT… love the systems changes and the new maps and new metas and I’m still finding new things in zones which is great

HoT also has all of Vanilla.. Only thing I find a minor minus is the fact I cannot glide in vanilla or WvW, that would make fo some interesting intrusions…

Anybody for AntiGlider mastery?

I find myself playing events, and festivals, fractals, and occasional dungeon Season 2, HoT and also personal story…. I hunt for masteries, then go do a world boss or my daily…

You cannot see HoT without Vanilla… I just find the expansion limited. And I would say:

Unfortunately we went up from an italian-made pint Vanilla Ice and now have a budget supermarket pint Straciatella instead of a huge Coupe Dame Blanche with sparkles and extra whipped cream…

Old Tyria. HoT maps are beautiful but a mess to move around, add that to the masteries grinding so we can move around and it turns into an annoyance.

Old Tyria, Orr’s still my favorite place in the game. I like temples and all the events there. Auric Bassin is close, but these HoT meta events… ruin it for me.

Old Tyria when it wasn’t just an internal compatition for which development group could make people spend the most cash or suck the most resources out of players, especially during the holidays. 10,000 drinks? LOLOLOLOL over 800gold for one of 10 acheivement items? hahahaha jerkfaces.
