It’s not that I’m kittening or anything like that but I just saw that gathering tools from gem store are acc bound.

My question is; will same tools bought before Hot get acc bound or will they remain soulbound?

I thought all the gathering tools were account bound. Mine are account bound and I bought them some 6 months ago. I move them around between characters all the time.

The tools have been account-bound for quite some time, them becoming account-bound isn’t part of HoT, but there was a time a long while ago (more than a year back, IIRC) where they were soulbound.

If you do still have one of the soulbound ones, you can get it exchanged for an accountbound version by unequipping the item from your character and then talking to a Black Lion Weaponsmith. There should be a new option available for you to choose that lets you exchange it.
