In the Chronomancer interview, ArenaNet mentioned how they’re using old mesmer skill icons as placeholders for the Chronomancer skills.

And, guess what that_shaman has datamined from GW2?

Old skin icons from GW1 which are now being used in the newer game.

Enjoy speculating about which skills and which specializations those icons could be for.

Umm … the dervishes icons makes me intrigued, I wonder if one of the elite specializations will get enchantments as mechanic.

Or if the rumors about the necromancer specialization being called “Reaper” are true, and the scythe in the icons is there as a symbol of the name.

If they do use them, in all fairness they should skip at least SOME.

UNLESS Colin Johanson himself will be the new model for them or Necro icons exclusively. Then all icons can be Colin. I don’t care, I take ’em.

But Necros are getting a Great Sword, so I don’t see how that would make any sense O_o. Their Staff animations are already scythe-like, I think it would be pretty bizarre to try and make a great sword look like a scythe.

The Dervish skills are:

The second two are enchantments and the first relates to enchantments, I feel like that might be a heavy clue right there. We also have the word ‘Aura’ in there, which could hint at these ones being related to the Ele’s specialisation.

wtf why would a developer use real life Crowley for something in the game? who idea was that?
