This is the part of the meta event where you collect airship parts and give it to this Beigarth dude.
The progress I showed you in the picture attached below is after 10 minutes with 6 people working on it. I kid you not, each part gives like 1% progress bar for the roundtrip you have to jump up the air and flied back. What goes through your mind, Anet , when you designed something painful and boring like this? Must we summon people from the whole map to get this particular part done? Even if we could, the platform only generates like 3/4 parts scattered everywhere. I dont mind abit of grindy work, but this is way over the top.
Also bug: Beigarth sometimes got stuck with the greeting dialog and refuse to take the part.
quests like this sometimes scale to the number of people in the area.
it’s possible there was a bunch of idlers or random adventurers driving up the quota
Killing the mobs spawns more airship salvage. Also it looks like there were people around (more than the six you had) scaling him up. Sorry for your experience though. I love the Ordnance Outpost Chain
sigh relevant bump, still issue from scaling, salvage location, turn-in NPC greeting dialog, etc.
can you not just throw the bundle at him? it’s been a while since i’ve done that event but i thought that was a thing
I brought this up when we were still in beta. Since they didn’t make any noticeable changes, I guess what we see is what they intended.
