Will there be a physical copy release of the game or is it going to be just digital for this release?

I don’t know if there will ever be a cd of the game at all; if there is, that would be what you would have in the physical jewelbox. Right now all you get in the case is a serial code. Purchasing digitally directly from ANet gives you a lot more security as far as support goes, or any needed refunds.

So unless you want an empty shell of a jewel case as a marker for owning the game, or don’t have the financial setup needed for online purchases, there’s not much need to buy it physically.

i only ask because i like collecting the cases, not to mention its a lot easier for me pull up the serial code for it if something were to happen to my account. Which in the past my account was hacked

There’s a physical pre-purchase edition and a standard edition. The standard edition won’t be available until after launch and will be available to any retailer (compared to the pre-purchase which is only available to a select few).
