For those who bash others because they say that they don’t want to pay another $50, please keep in mind that depending on the region of the world you’re playing from the value of $50 might mean much more, same for the money that has to be shelled out in the gem store.
Especially for us in North/western Europe buying a certain amount of gems for a mini pet etc has a totally different ring to it than for people in other Regions, by a factor of like x10 if compared to buying power of monthly wages.
This is a common issue in every MMO that has an integrated shop with unified pricing for everyone.

Exactly. For instance, Witcher 3 cost me about the half of its “western” price. Now, that means I got one of the best rpgs in the history for about 25 euro. HoT seems like a outrage in comparison.
