So it seems some players have taken it on themselves to prevent others from gathering and progressing their masteries. This is being done by those without the Itzel poison lore dying on the mastery points and refusing to waypoint. The issue with this is that it prevents players from channeling the mastery point and reviving the downed player isnt possible as the poison does to much damage to revive.

Tell them you will report them. Then report them.

You should still be able to commune by switching to action camera.

or.. you just use your mouse.. hover over the mastery point.. left klick it once..then press f.. and wish the downed guy a nice day…

There’s a setting in control options for “next ally.” Assigning a key to it allows you to toggle through nearby “allies” which include various interactable ingame items, including NPCs, merchants, banners and probably down/dead people and Mastery points. You then select the one it highlights. Try that next time someone is attempting to grief or troll like that.

That would work, except, like OP said, it screws it up for people without the mastery.

Therein lies the whole problem.

Huh? Isn’t the problem, “the trolls don’t have the poison mastery”? The OP should already have poison mastery, if he doesn’t, then it’d be pointless trying to get the point anyways. He should definitely be able to just manually hover over and find the ‘commune’ interaction with his mouse cursor.

This type of trolling is pretty harmless, I’d rather encourage harmless trolling over toxic trolling.

How is this any different than killing yourself on any type of commune spot? It would be very easy to glide over a lots of commune spots for masteries and fall to die on it. Or have a mob kill you on it. Regardless just find the prompt and commune.
