The forums have gone bonkers! I was just reading this and all of a sudden the comment window opens and I can’t get rid of it so I’m typing this in explanation of why this is even here in the first place.

And here i thought i am special with a mere 10 character slots, those are some dedicated fans that i really like to know about.

I mean why would i ? It’s not like I will play every char more so since I enjoy engineer the most far above all the rest. Also playing too many different games to have so many chars hehe.

Hmmm… well, collecting character slots is no worse than my obsessive farming to craft ascended mats. Others collect skins and minipets and even legendaries. I guess everyone has something they like to collect.

I’m still trying to decide what to do with the two extra slots I got for HoT and being a vet. I mean, really…. what am I to do with 7 characters? I barely play two with any regularity and the other 3 are either ready or very close to tackling Zhaitan in Arah. (there really should have been an LOL in there somewhere lol)

You could make a level 21 and a level 53 (I think that’s the recommended level). Park both at the Pirate jumping puzzle in Lions Arch and open the chest there daily. The level 21 will have a chance of silver doubloons and the level 53 can open up champ bags (and maybe other bags, I’m not sure. I don’t have a char of this level) you give him for a chance to get and salvage light armor for linen. Anytime you need to get to your bank with one, the PvP area has a bank, trading post and merchants.

I was told there is a limit to 7 character slots on normal accounts is that a lie? I want to experience all professions.

The paid version of the game comes with 5 character slots. You can purchase more, up to a total of ~68 or so. (It used to be 64, but some have managed to exceed that limit.)

Maybe +2 slots, if i buy HoT.

So I bought the Heroic Edtion , one with gems, it says you get free character slot, but to my surprise I got 2? Im not complaining at all just wonder if this was intended? I had 6 now I have 8 plus 4 for beta.

Yes. 1 char slot for the 50$ basic and 2 for the 75$ and 100$ ones. They originally had zero, 1 and 1 but then ANet added one to each as buying the 50$ one with no char slot and then having to buy a $10 char slot was too much and players objected.

I was about to do the same thing, I mean to buy some character slots… but since everything is account bound. I find not much of a reason of doing it, if you do stuff with 1 character, applies to all. I may get 2-3 slots, to make a thief and an engineer… but other than that, I may invest in an alt account.

2 accounts is going to be like, I have 2 characters. If they ever make it a bit more friendly for the alts… give me a reason of having many characters in 1 account. I will do it. Right now is NO…
