Alright, so as I’m sure many of you have started your “journey” into making your precursor many of us have run into the parts where we have to do a certain event to complete a collection. Now, this would fine except that an event like Gates of Arah which is perhaps the most farmed event in Cursed Shore needs to fail in order for us to get a certain part of an anthology completed. Now we have people including myself begging to let the event fail in map chat while mobs of people rush to complete the event. Even if we somehow get most of the map to cooperate it only takes a handful of people to hold out and complete the event. Why do we have to beg and grovel for the cooperation of a whole map to progress in our legendary crafting? What kind of journey is sitting afk in Cursed Shore for HOURS AND HOURs waiting and watching the event we need to fail succeed over and over again. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention that a lot of us have things to do in the day and we don’t have the time to sit there and monitor Gates of Arah for 10+ hours a day. I think they should change the event required or remove all together. There is no “epic journey” when I’m sitting afk at arah on imgur/reddit waiting for a slim to none chance that the mindless mob will let me complete my colllection.

I’m a Guardian…but what am I really guarding?

They’re working on fixing the parts that rely on failed events. No ETA on when that is from what I have seen.

After it was pointed out to me that grinding the gold to outright buy a precursor is cheaper, and probably more fun, than sinking in all the time and resources to craft one, I stopped the process relatively early and shifted my attention to the TP. People in my guild have actually quantified these numbers spreadsheet style on current resource prices and flat out told me to not bother crafting them. They’re FAR more resource intensive to craft than if you had just by chance sunk the gold into the toilet and took your chances. Add to that this nonsense of being gated behind certain procs, events, etc that rarely happen, it just doesn’t make sense to craft.
