I’m a little confused, when I redeemed my serial key it wanted me to redownload GW2. Should I have done that or am I fine to just carry on with my main account and wait for beta access and update the launcher then?

The way the HoT sale works is it overwrites your account. So your game changes from GW2 to HoT. It assumes everybody is knew so it offers you to download. It isn’t necessary and you have nothing to gain from redownloading. Now we just sit back and wait. If you just updated recently and buy the Ultimate Edition you can relog and collect your digital rewards + gems immediately. You will also noticed a beta character slot for upcoming beta events.

That depends on if you link the serial code to an existing account or created a new one.

If you linked, the digital items will show up in game and you just have to wait for beta/release. I’m sure the prompt to download the GW2 client is just a default redirect.

If you created a new account, you will probably want to open a support ticket.

Yes, if you accidentally made a new account instead of upgrading your main account you should definitely contact support and have them close that second account and upgrade your main account.

I logged in and applied it to my main account. It’s good to know I didn’t do anything wrong. Now I get to go thank my husband for his awesome gift!

So yeah, if you log in you should get your rewards. The mini, etc, will only go to the first character you log onto in their mail! Do not delete it! There are no replacements!
