Put a Blast Finisher on Scrapper AA
Blast finishers are about a thousand times more desirable than whirls, though.
It also potentially disincentivizes the rest of the hammer skills – any time you don’t spend swinging your AA and generating piles of blasts is time that could be better spent swinging your AA and generating piles of blasts, or so the meta thinking will run.
Personally I find it an interesting notion, and something that might fit with the Scrapper’s theme, but you also have to remember that one of the things that controls the Dodgedevil’s whirl AA is that Thieves/Dodgedevils have utter crap for fields of their own. Sure, they can generate a lot of extra damage with staff AA in things like fire fields, but they need another class to generate those fire fields for them. They can’t really take advantage of their whirl finisher at all by themselves, save for a couple of questionable smoke fields.
Engineer, on the other hand? The Engineer is drowning in fields of all shapes and sizes. Giving it the most desirable combo finisher type while also allowing it to be one of the classes with the broadest, easiest access to a great many different field types could well be pushing the bounds of what’s permitted on an AA too far.
Lol necros been begging for just one useful blast finisher for ages now and you want one on your auto attack.
Don’t want any finishers on any autos.

Hey men listen, I am one of the greatest defenders of the engineer, you can check for some of my threads in the professions section in the forum, but giving the hammer a blast finisher on auto is not the way to go and it would be way to strong to use anything other then AA on the hammer, no the hammer is fine here.. the gyros are problematic.
what I could see though is a blast finisher on bombkit 1 so it could be good again.. and it would make much more sense..
just what this game needs! MORE ways to stack might passively!
Don’t overestimate the power of blast finishers. If it is so powerful we should see more lighting hammers.
In earlier conceptions when scrapper was forge it supposed to be blast on last attack in chain. Lets be honest what would that made engineers? Poor man warrior without banners if only you can keep fire fields 100% of time. It could make probably return of
cleric/brawler/engineer that blast water fields as long as he has something to auto-attack.
Also giving blast finishers on bomb 1 would be way more broken than giving it on last attack in hammer 1 (it would provide around 2 times as much finishers, without needing a target to use it).
