Guild Wars 2

The website says that the HoT expansion includes the core game. Since I already own the core game, does that mean that I will get another serial code for another copy of the core game? I think it’s only fair that if new players get it, that I should get it too. I would like to give it to my friend as a gift to get him into Guild Wars 2.

If you buy the expansion and use it to upgrade your account you do not get a separate key for the core game. The core game is include free for new customers/accounts. It is to attract new customers.

no you do not get another copy of the core game.

what you are buying is “A game serial code for account creation or upgrade for the GW2: HoT expansion”

You receive one key. Do with it what you will; keep it for yourself, or give it to your friend.
