Hey, im interested in buying Heart of Thorns but i cant afford it on the Guildwars Website and i was wondering if i buy it from G2A will i still get the character boost?

there were posts on reddit that players who bought gw2 from g2a got their accounts banned after 6 months of purchase, because appearently those keys were refunded or something like that. I suggest dont buy anything from g2a

G2A is not an authorized retailer. It is a fact that they sell game keys that have been obtained illegally.

G2A is super super shady. Dont waste your money.

Use the official website to identify official resellers. Nearly all of them have sold HoT for 10-40% off at some point.

If you buy from anywhere else and anything goes wrong with your account’s status, you won’t be protected.

Depends of the reputation around your zone/sector/district.For example,as I am from Romania,I don’t see any of my retailers there…so I presume they don’t have a direct aproach/official agreement to Anet/NCSoft or otherwise….I don’t want to post their names,but for sure there was no problems with any of their keys.(It’s one of the cheap big known store in Romania)

the UK has additional protection for online purchases, there is the paypal protection and you can always buy the g2a shield protection if you want to.

What you get from any website is a code and if it’s a legitimate code that comes with perks then you get the perks. The perks aren’t reseller specific, if you buy a HoT key, you get the HoT rewards.

I would not risk it.

Buying MMOs from them isn’t a good idea because most MMO companies consider them resellers and borders it on sharing/selling accounts for some reason. Buying anything at all from them seems useless though since they’re never flagged for english. ;/

You might want to be more specific. Clearly there are issues (some of which, perhaps many, that were eased this week). It also has a lot of fun things to do. For me, US$50 is almost worth it, just to get gliding in the original game and auto-looting everywhere. Add in the new maps and story, changed fractal mechanics, and elite specs and (for me), the cost was a bargain.

(Was it the same value as the original game? No, not even close. Is it a good value nonetheless? Yes, I think it is.)

It’s a good expansion if you like dying a lot. Otherwise save your money.

i bought it from an EU digital key shop that Anet did not link to, i got it for €32,- before it was released.
that’s why i was smiling at ppl who payed the full price for the expansion and i payed a price worthy of an expansion
