If you bought it directly from this site contact support. It may be possible that they will refund and xlose you current account.
The refund was only offered if you purchased the game from buy.guildwars2.com, then purchased HoT from buy.guildwars2.com before July 31.
If you purchased it from buy.guildwars2.com, you can try contacting support, but do keep in mind that you are outside the HoT refund period as well as the 30 day full refund period.
If you purchased it from a different retailer, there’s nothing you can do.
If you choose to buy HoT, do not upgrade your account. Instead, start a new one and treat it as your main account. By simply logging in once a day on your other account to collect your login rewards, it will eventually pay for itself in about a year by simply selling those login rewards. If you ever planned on buying gems with real money, you will eventually recover your loss by instead exchanging that gold.

Since you started not so long ago, I say do what Healix suggests. Make a brand new account for the expansion and turn your old account into a mule account. Over time the log in rewards will generate enough gold so that it pays for itself and you get your refund back that way, plus more. Plus you’ll get a whole extra material storage panel.
